I'm this close to our dream!

This is a story about sacrifice. Do you remember the project which I told you last time? Ohh.. Come on.. the time when I said that I should went on extra Sunday work? Aha.. that's it! Finally our client give their response upon the proposal we made that day. Simply said, the client's response has two consequences, the good and the bad.

The project was arranging an abroad furniture exhibition for two weeks in India. We have planned that the exhibition will be hold in one location within the biggest mall in that city. In our assumption, the exhibition would exposed to a large number of visitors since the mall constantly attracted 10,000 visitors each day. By a simple 10% conversion, the total assumed exhibition visitors would be as well as 1,000 people each day. And from the 1,000 amount, another 10% would be converted as potential buyers, which are 100 transactions per day.

Simply, it's a good idea and smart calculation even it only reached the lowest possible revenues. But, again the economical principles took the role. Our client wanted to have larger revenue opportunities by dividing the exhibition on several spots around the city, not only in the mall. Sure it would expand the coverages, but it would also increase the cost and resources. In addition, the exhibition is hold abroad which needs more anticipation and contingency plans to be provided.

Talking about budget, frankly there was no problem with that, even if we hold it on 10 different spots at the same time. It's just the matter of increasing the expenses and cutting half of our potential profits from the project.

This client is a kind of loyal customer if we just keep track of what they want and preserve it's all done with their preferences. It was better for us to keep the relationship intact by followed what they want, rather than insist with self-ideas and lose better opportunities on the next day.
